Chris Rupp FCA

After leaving school Chris started work in a family owned supermarket chain, but decided that a formal business qualification was needed to gain business experience, and started training to be a Chartered Accountant, initially with a firm in Exeter and then in Newton Abbot.

He then went to London and worked for a 14 partner City firm for four years before deciding to spend two years in the Caribbean working for one of the big international firms. Some of this time was spent sorting out major accounting problems in some of the smaller islands. On returning to the UK he was offered the position of audit manager to the then largest independent firm in the West Country and subsequently became a partner.

After five years he decided to set up independently and in 1986 C.Rupp & Co was born and later became Rupp & Fraser after Ian Fraser joined him in 1988. He has helped numerous businesses to get started and is especially keen to make sure that management information is a priority for clients. He started advising clients on computers in 1986 when computers had only just become available for small businesses and continues to advise in the current market.

His hobbies are music and photography.

Ian Fraser Bsc(Hons) FCA

After gaining a degree in Economics at University College London, Ian started his training with one of the International firms in London. Ian and his Wife then moved to Australia and spent time in Papua New Guinea before returning to Devon where he was an Audit Manager for the then largest local firm, and after a short time as a partner in a small Torquay practice joined Chris in 1988.

Ian has a wealth of experience in helping businesses and in the past few years has been involved in advising the buying and selling of large local companies. He has a considerable knowledge of tax, and regularly helps clients with their tax problems.

Married with two children Ian is a keen cricketer with two local teams.

After graduating with a Maths degree from Warwick University Sue worked for a number of International Companies before taking time off to raise her family, and she then decided to qualify as a Certified Chartered Accountant. She has worked both in the profession and commerce and now looks after a number of our corporate clients.
